Field	Explanation
General
This section gives you two options when using the F3 key. You can choose to search using the Classic search window or the Desktop Search which provides an overlying search window with additional functionality this table describes.
Local Search (F4)
Autoselect	If this box is ticked, and a search finds only one record, this record will be opened automatically.
Max search results per area	For each of the Search Areas included (in the lower section of the pane) this is the maximum number of search results displayed. The default value is 60, but you can specify a required number between 25 and 500.
Classic Search (F3)
Max search results per area.	For each of the Search Areas included (in the lower section of the pane) this is the maximum number of search results displayed. The default value is 60, but you can specify a required number between 25 and 500.
Search Area The look of this area will vary depending on which F3 key option you specified.
This lists all the entries that may be searched. By default the Include box is ticked for each of these – if an entry is not required during searching, click the Include box to remove the tick.
Desktop and Classic Search: Search Area	Each entry can be included/excluded from the searching, as required.
Desktop Search Overlay only: Search Area	Entities with to the left can be expanded to view sub-entities (Employee Details and Locations).
Classic Search only: Results per page	For each area included, specify how many search results are displayed per page. When a search is performed, Previous/Next buttons are provided per area if there are more results to be viewed.
